• First mission to Guatemala complete!
Our whirlwind trip to Guatemala was a HUGE success!
Mama Nancy and the kids at Semillas de Amor were so happy to see us…we were greeted with all of the hugs and smiles we miss so much! After celebrating with a Pizza Party and Oreos, we gave the kids all of their goodies, had a ceremonial groundbreaking for the new chicken coop, and had some time to run around the beautiful property of the children’s home with our little friends.
We were also able to get a meeting with one of the directors of the new Central Authority to re-introduce ourselves and have a “friendly” discussion regarding the future of the children. It’s going to be a long hard haul, but Futuro plans to be there every step of the way!
We want to thank our Amigos de los Ninos for all of their love and support! Your generous donations not only purchased so many needed supplies for the kids, we made enough money to buy all 50 hens and feed them for an entire year! It warms our hearts knowing that everyday, our little sweeties are forging the hills in crisp clean socks and sturdy shoes and every night they snuggle into bed in new warm fuzzy jammies. You made this happen…and we are grateful from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for loving our kids and showing them you believe in a brighter future!
